TO THE QUESTION OF THE PHILOSOPHY OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

We often perceive the problem of sustainable development as everything related to economic development, the impact of globalization on regional, local changes in the way of life, some researchers may add that this is also the main challenge or challenges facing modern civilization. Many of our researchers then, as a rule, in their articles report on the work of various commissions like the World Commission on Environment and Development (WCED), the conference in Rio de Janeiro in 1992, the limits of growth and the "Club of Rome", but all this, in our opinion, does not answer the question of what the philosophy of sustainable development is, if you like, the metaphysical aspects of this issue, which determines the need for such development. We do not argue with the fact that it is necessary to respect the ecology, simulate the processes of interaction between the Earth and humans, bureaucratic control over
the thoughtless growth of consumption, etc. But, in this case, where is the philosophy of the problem, without which we, perhaps, will not understand the main thing, how we came to the present state, why we often thoughtlessly waste our limited resources in the narrow and broad sense of the word.
