Threats and Challenges Against the Security of the Post-Soviet Countries of Cenrtal Asia and Their Classification

Abstract

The geopolitical and geostrategic position of Central Asia, its richness of natural resources has turned this region into one of the most important and significant regions of the world. However, the Central Asian states face a number of problems that seriously affect the security situation in the region.The author researches the reasons that contribute to the emergence and growth of threats and challenges against security, as for each country in this region separately, as well as for the entire region of Central Asia as a whole. The article emphasizes that, there is no common classification of threats and challenges in one country. The author leads the own classification of a number of basic threats and challenges to the country of Central Asia and gives them scientific analysis.
