Abstract

The article analyzes the religious and ethical views of Hamza Nigari Karabagi. Attention is focused on a number of ethical ideas in the work of this Sufi poet. It is shown that Hamza Nigari’s religious and ethical views form a well-thought-out system based on specific ideas and moral values. One of the main features of this system is the interaction of divine love and patriotism.
In addition, the incompatibility of the views of the Azerbaijani Sufi poet with truth, justice and colonialism logically follows from his philosophical and ethical views. His fight against injustice leads to the conclusion that the ethical views of Hamza Nigari are reflected in real life. The article attempts to substantiate that this is connected with love for the creator, love for the country and love for the person. In this regard, the author makes a number of conclusions at the end of the article.
