Abstract

In his article, the author deals with the special close relationship between Samad Vurgun, the famous Azerbaijani poet, who is famous for his every verse, and Nazim Hikmat, the great Turkish poet. The author, discussing the literary and cultural closeness between these poets, speaks of the brighter friendship relations, and draws parallels regarding the similar aspects in the works of both poets. He shows that this is one of the preconditions for the love of both poets in Azerbaijan and Turkey. The researcher-scientist also notes that Nazim Hikmat is the only literary figure with whom Samad Vurgun became friends, who had an irreplaceable influence on the Azerbaijani poet's artistic erudition and original views on life. The researcher also mentions in his article that Nazim Hikmat visited Azerbaijan nine times. It shows that the arrival of the Turkish poet in 1927 was more successful and interesting.
The paper notes that during the years of Nazim Hikmat's visits, his works were published in the Azerbaijani press, a number of meetings were held with the poet, and many scientific and journalistic articles were published about him. In this way, Azerbaijani readers have increased their endless love for the Turkish poet, and special attention to and interest in his works.
