Abstract

At the beginning of the 20th century, a serious interest in Turkish literature emerged in the literary and cultural environment of Azerbaijan. This interest also manifests itself in the media. In this period, we witness an intense and warm attitude toward Turkish literature and its colorful problems in various media. Also, in relation to that literature, two directions are evident: A large number of examples of Ottoman literature are published on the pages of newspapers and magazines in Azerbaijan and delivered to readers; Azerbaijani authors express interesting opinions on various events and problems in Turkish literature, write articles with moral content, and publish them in the press.
This issue mentioned in the article is interpreted in a scientific way. During the explanation, we proceed from the facts, and we also touch on the benefit of such an initiative for our national literature. We show that the promotion of Ottoman writers and poets through the national press played an important role in the awakening of national thought in Azerbaijan.
