Forms of Nationalism in Ashug Veysel’s poetry

Abstract

Ashug Veysel’s creativity is based on national moral values. The article analyzes the themes of AshugVeysel’s works. As is known, national and spiritual values occupies the main place in the work of Ashug Veysel.The article deals with the nationalistic factors characteristic of Ashug Veysel’s creativity. For instance, the love of the nation, the love of the homeland, and other factors are involved in the analysis. His work is dominated by themes of moral and didactic content, patriotic love, religious and Islamic motifs, love poems, etc. It can be said that the work of Ashug Veysel is intended to enrich the spiritual values of people and inculcate high spirit of patriotism and love for the country.
