Abstract

The article focuses on socio-political processes appeared in Turkey at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries, and the Turkish Literature of Turkey which began to be formed as a result of the influences of these processes. As it is known, the socio-political processes in Tur-key in the first half of the 19th century directly affected the literature, and consequently Tanzimat literature was created in 1860.The article analyzes the features of the newly created tanzimat litera-ture and studies the aesthetic peculiarities of this literature in the context of Western and Eastern literary and artistic values. In addition, article includes the analysis of the new poem, prose and dramaturgic genre, which began to be formed during the Tanzimat. The problem in the article is mainly being analysed in the context of creativity of some of the leading artists such as Shinasi, Hamid, Namiq Kamal, Ziya Pasha, A.Midhat and others.
