The Concept of Solidarity in Islam and its Importance in Terms of the Challenges of the Modern Era

Abstract

The present article analyzes the need for a social being to live in a community and to interact with other people. There was underlined the essence of the concepts of solidarity, help and brother-hood in Islam. There is also analyzed the purpose of Islamic solidarity, and the principles of assis-tance through the prism of the Qur'an and Sunnah. The importance of solidarity based on the princi-ple of justice in the context of the tragedies taking place in Islamic geography today is emphasized. The attention is given to the tasks ahead in the formation of an objective public opinion in Muslim countries concerning the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
