Over the past two centuries, the Sadr family has given the region and the Islamic world a gal-axy of scientists. Authoritative representatives of this dynasty left a significant mark in the socio-political and religious life of Lebanon, Iran, Iraq and other countries of the region. The entry of the Sadr family into the political elite in Iraq begins in the second half of the last century. During this period, the activities of Muhammed Baqir Sadr in the socio-political and religious context and the writings he wrote laid the foundation for the fundamental principles of the future activities of the dynasty. The steps taken by Musa Sadr in the direction of the unification of the Islamic world and religious tolerance since the 70s of the last century have gained even more prestige for the above-mentioned family in the Middle East. The political struggle of Muhammed Sadr at the end of the 20th century, the activities of the young religious and political activist Muqtada Sadr after the US intervention in 2003 made the Sadr family one of the most authoritative dynasties of Iraq. If at first Muqtada Sadr showed an irreconcilable position in the political life of the new Iraq, then later, hav-ing established a party and a political faction, and forming an alliance with close political flanks, he overtook all rival parties in the 2019 parliamentary elections. Currently, the adoption of important political decisions in the Iraqi parliament and government without the consent of the political wing of Sadr is difficult.
