Mirza Hasan Rushdiyye - First Person who Built a Trench of National Identity for the Youth of Azerbaijan

Abstract

The contributions of Mirza Hasan Rushdiyye,who became acquainted with the new achieve-ments of education and culture in Russia and Europe,in the field of culture in the late 19th and early 20th centuries are praiseworthy. Rushdiyye showed an example of courage and perseverance, trying to bring up the new generation in a national spirit. He was not afraid of any insults, the pressure of material and moral hardships, so he did not withdraw from his main goal and purpose and founded a new culture in Iran, first in Tabriz. He established a new type of national education system not only in Azerbaijan (both in its south and north, including Yerevan), but also in the whole Iran, including Tehran. He applied a new method of teaching in Azerbaijan, as well as in the whole of Iran, by writing textbooks "Mother language", "Motherland language" and a number of scientific and theoretical works on pedagogy in the Azerbaijani language. In this way, he earned the title of "father of enlightenment" and immortalized his name in our cultural history.
Thanks to the historical services of Mirza Hasan Rushdiyye, a "trench of national identity" was built for the youth of Azerbaijan. Today, thousands of people in the Islamic Republic of Iran are trying to continue the work begun by Haji Mirza Hasan Rushdiyyah.
