Importance of tolerance traditions in research of intercultural dialogue

Abstract

The scientific article, on the basis of various sources and literature, investigates the important parameters of the ideas of multiculturalism and the culture of tolerance, in modern Azerbaijan. Some basic aspects of multiculturalism as a state policy in our country are also characterized. The factor of binary multicultural values and tolerance in the context of national culture is emphasized.It is important to note that the Azerbaijani model of multiculturalism is based on the principles of hu-manism. Multiculturalism plays an important role in resolving conflicts between peoples and civili-zations, precisely when indifference and national intolerance prevail in the international arena. The multicultural policy pursued by the Azerbaijani government in relation to national minorities and religious groups is being studied widely and with great interest by the states of the world. Against the background of the tendency of increasing conflict situations, controversial dialogues between civilizations, Azerbaijan nevertheless does not cease to remain a multicultural country.
In addition, this scientific work examines topical issues of the development of humanitarian education in our country. Importance of the priorities of national culture, intercultural dialogue, and innovative approaches to the educational process is emphasized. The issue of the significance of the humanization of modern education as an integral part of the policy of multiculturalism in the Re-public of Azerbaijan is also being studied. Along with other parameters of public administration, such as the socio-political structure, technology of life, social management systems, could note such areas as culture, education, cultural policy. One of the main systemic components of the modern concept of development is a new understanding of the educational process, the importance of re-forms and transformations. The current conditions and modern needs of life require the develop-ment of clear positions in the humanitarian field, ensuring a high level of development of science and education.
