One of the important conditions confirming the existence and existence of a people, a nation, perhaps the very first, is its language. Language is national identity, national belonging. The Azerbaijani language is the state language of the Republic of Azerbaijan - our native language, the language that mothers teach us syllable by syllable, word by word when we are born. Language is a bridge between generations, transmitted from the past to the present, a means of communication. Language is a clear expression of ideas and thoughts, desires and wishes, communication. The role of language in the development of national culture, oral and written literature, history, science and art is without exception. All genres of folklore, without exception - fairy tales and epics, bayats and lullabies, proverbs, parables, beliefs and legends, legends and riddles, riddles and other examples are indispensable in the lexicon of the language. From the first day of birth, a baby hears his mother's lullaby, and over time grows up listening to fairy tales from his grandmother, learns legends and tales, and understands folk wisdom - proverbs - by taking advice from his father and grandfather. Folklore texts preserve the pure, "uncorrupted" lexicon of the mother tongue, passing on its rich vocabulary from generation to generation. Folklore examples have an exceptional posi-tion in the survival of the mother tongue, in preserving its purity, in protecting it from foreign in-fluences, in ensuring that dialects and accents are not forgotten, in keeping it alive and functioning, "alive" and enriched.
