A FEW WORDS ABOUT THE FEMALE ASHUGS OF KARABAKH AND THE RESEARCH CONDUCTED

Abstract

One of the environments that has taken a certain place in the historical map of Azerbaijani ashug art is undoubtedly the Karabakh ashug environment. The ashug tradition is an oral literary tradition that has a unique place in Karabakh culture. Although the bearers of this tradition are mainly men, female ashugs have also played an important role in the development of the ashug art of the environment. It is also appropriate to mention that the Karabakh region is one of the im-portant centers in terms of both music and poetry. The article studies the history of the study of Karabakh female ashugs and at the same time sheds light on issues such as the place of women in the ashug tradition of the environment, women's language and feelings in poems and the reflection of the historical map of Karabakh in poems. The creativity of the saz and word masters known as Ashug Pari, Ashug Basti, Nubar Madatli of the environment is kept in mind.
