NATIONAL MINORITIES IN THE ACTIVITY OF SOCIETY OF RESEARCH AND STUDIES OF AZERBAIJAN

Abstract

In 1923, Azerbaijan Society for Scientific Research and Studies was established in Azerbai- jan. This society immediately became the center of coordination of all scientific research conduc- ted in Azerbaijan. One of the main directions of this society was the study of national minorities of Azerbaijan, in historical, folkloristic, philological, archaeological and ethnographic aspects. The article explores the activities of the Tat, Talish and Armenian commissions of society.
