    Abstract

If we consider the archaic anthropogonic myths as a continuation of the cosmogonic myths, it seems logically reasonable that the origin of man is also connected with the earth. Land, considered as one of the important factors in the creation of the world, is considered the second material beginning after water. According to mythological ideas, it is no coincidence that the birth of Adam and Eve, who are considered the first people, is associated with the earth, which is a symbol of fertility. Raising the concept of land to the level of a cult in Azerbaijani folklore and understanding it as a sacred entity is reflected in the content of numerous collected texts. Also, there are not a few mythical texts written by Azerbaijani Turks regarding the anthropomorphic nature of the earth.
The belief that the first man was born from water, and that they were born from water by the will of the gods, is found both in the mythology of the countries of the world and in Turkish creation myths (for example, you can look at the descriptions in the Turkish "Creation" epic).
Land, considered as one of the important factors in the creation of the world, is considered the second material beginning after water. In most mythological systems, the material aspect of all existence in the world takes its essence from the earth . There is almost no alternative of connecting the first man with the land in Azerbaijani folklore texts. The motif of man's descent from trees, various animals (for example: wolf, bear), and birds expresses the idea of a miraculous birth, but these substances are not found in the texts of anthropogonic myths. They are mostly found in our fairy tales and epics.
