Abstract

It is a well-known fact that the main layer of the folklore thinking of the people is its initial mythological thoughts, beliefs, oaths, ceremonial codes and symbols. Mythological thought serves as the primary point of reference for philosophical thought. In this sense, we considered it appropriate to use the term "mythosophy" in the article. The term mythosophy has emerged from the combination of the terms mythology - (mythology) and philosophy - (philosophy). This term, which has been used recently in European folklore studies, has not been used in Azerbaijani folklore studies until now. This term is used for the first time in this article. Mythosophy is the search and transmission through secret codes of the wisdom of myths that travel through space and
time and shape the intelligence and morality of mankind. Mythosophy is the mythical understanding of nature. It is a return to the original, to memory.
In the spirit of the Turkmen people living in the provinces of Erbil and Kirkuk in the north of Iraq, there is a kinship with Azerbaijani folklore in their oral folk creativity. In the tumult of centuries, in the merciless tests of history, the people condemned to be separated from each other in terms of geographical space, never allowed this separation and fragmentation in folklore and
oral thinking.
In the article, the "Arzu and Gambar" saga, specifically belonging to the Iraqi-Turkmen, is analyzed from the mythological-philosophical aspect as a research object. As in Azerbaijan, the philosophy of telling epics is the same in Iraqi-Turkmen.
