ABOUT THE IDEA-ARTISTIC CHARACTERISTIC OF IRAQ-TURKMAN TALES

Abstract

In the article it is said about the examples from the book "Iraq-Turkman tales" compiled and published by Professor Gazanfar Pashayev. The compiler considered it appropriate to give in this book the tales written in dialect from narrators living in different regions as they are. It is also of great importance in the study of folklore samples. In the article the characteristic Iraq-Turkman
tales such as "The traitor vizier", "Three brothers", "Three sisters", "Golden-haired boy", etc. are analyzed with Azerbaijani tales comparatively. It is concluded that such comparisons make it possible to reveal various variants of individual fairy-tale plots. It is also noted that the initial, narration and final formulas of Iraq-Turkman tales are distinguished by a number of peculiarities. It is
concluded that Iraq-Turkman storytelling is a special tradition.
