THE PLACE OF “KHOYRAT” AND “MANI” IN ATA TARZIBASHI'S INVESTIGATIONS

Abstract

In the article it is said about the folkloristic activities of Ata Tarzibashi, a wellknown scientist, writer and publicist, as well as his researches on Kirkuk songs and khoyrats. It is noted that Ata Tarzibashi connects the origin of khoyrat and songs on the one
hand to the genre “tuyug”, and on the other hand to the verses in the epic “Dede Gorgud”.
Ata Tarzibashi, focusing on the performance context of khoryat and mani, investigates the emergence of these poetry genres in harmony with music and in the conditions of exchange of hand artists on the basis of actual materials. Ata Tarzibashi considers attachment to certain stories as one of the characteristic features of khoyrat and mani.
