Abstract

In the period after restoration state independence, the republics of the South Caucasus- Azerbaijan and Georgia - have shown sustainable initiatives to modernize and develop the political, economic and social system. At the present stage, young people have a special place in the population of both countries. Both countries are interested in involving young people in the governance of the country, as well as in the process of economic and social development, and have adopted certain documents in this direction. The study of the implemented youth policy and the effectiveness of the implementation of the adopted documents is relevant both theoretically and practically. The article analyzes the strategic documents defining the conceptual framework of youth policy in the two South Caucasus countries, and analyzes the degree of implementation of the planned measures. The main conclusion of the article is that taking steps in the field of youth policy that meet the requirements of modern times is directly related not only to the degree of stability of countries, but also to their economic opportunities, political and economic independence.
