The article analyzes the resettlement policy of the tsarist government on the territory of the Transcaucasian territory. The topic related to the resettlement policy in the territory of the Transcaucasian region is relevant. It provides an opportunity to take a closer look at the specifics of government policy in this region. The participation of migrants in the economic development of Russia's marginal territories is associated with such an important methodological problem as the development of capitalism "in breadth", as well as the classification of its variants. The article helps to reveal the reasons for the migration of foreigners to the territory of the Transcaucasian territory, as well as the peculiarities of their residence in this region. The actions of the tsarist government in the Transcaucasian region were purposeful and systematic, pursuing a single goal – to colonize the lands acquired by force of arms, gradually merging them with the Empire in all respects.
