The article discusses the reasons for the transition of Armenia’s military strat egy to the “new war - new territories” formula after N. Pashinyan came to power in 2018 and its bankruptcy as a result of the 44-day war. The article examines the philosophy of the transition to the new military strategy of the occupying country, its expansion and aggressive spirit, ideological foundations, geo-economic imperatives, its connection with the concept of “indirect action strategy” and “soft power”, as well as the consequences of Armenia’s defeat in the 44-day war. The article also mentions that the bitter consequences of the 44-day war will lay the foundation for necessary changes in Armenia’s political life, public opinion, and military security strategy.
