THE SITUATION IN THE ARMENIAN ARMY

Abstract

It is examined the formation of the army and other armed units in Armenia after the fall of the USSR, the effects of the policy of occupation on the process of building the army, provision of weapons and manpower, and military expenditures in the arti
cle. The effects of economic factors and social crisis on the army have been studied. The goal is a comparative analysis of the situation in the army before and after the Second Karabakh war, as well as to study the effectiveness and results of the work being carried out in this area. The psychological state of military personnel in the army, the interest of young people in the military sphere, decisions and measures taken by the state were also analyzed. For the first time, the article makes an attempt to diversify arms supplies to Armenia and study the tactical and technical charac teristics of weapons purchased from supplier countries. During the writing of the article, content analysis and comparative analysis were carried out, materials from the Armenian media were collected, systematized and analyzed.
