COOPERATION OF RUSSIA AND ARMENIA IN THE SPHERE OF INFORMATION: IMPACT OF DIASPORA AND PUBLIC ORGANIZATIONS

Abstract

Cooperation in the information sphere takes a special place in Russian-Arme-
nian relations. For the parties, all kinds of information exchange is considered

an important form of cooperation. The article analyzes the current situation and
problems of the common information space between the two states. The position of
Russia and the attitude towards the Russian language are studied in Armenian mass
media. Diaspora factor also has its influence on Russian-Armenian relations. There
is a common understanding that the diaspora in Armenia has great potential and
brings social and financial capital. The article examines the Armenian diaspora,
organizations and their main activities in Russia.
