Sufferer of children’s literature

Abstract

The creativity of Zahid Khalil, prominent master of Azerbaijani children’s literature is distinguished by many aspects. He has worked in this field for more than half a century and is known as the author of many artistic and scientific works. In the article is dealt with the diversity of idea-content and moral-aesthetic specificity of Zahid Khalil’s children’s poetry, and the connection with native nature in poetic structure is emphasized. He makes a mention of children's world and the problems in society in his stories and narratives, and expresses his attitude with elements of humor and sarcasm. Zahid Khalil is the author of a number of scientific articles and monographs on the history of Azerbaijani children’s literature and development issues. His creativity has been highly evaluated by specialists, and has awarded many awards.
