The poems devoted to Mahammad Fuzuli in the literature of new period (On the basis of the work “Fuzuli” by Salim Rafig Rafioglu)

Abstract

The creative work of Mahammad Fuzuli, which has maintained its relevance since the present day, has also been studied in Azerbaijani emigrant literature. Along with the life and creative work of the poet, the first information about the works dedicated the poet have also been given in the dissertation titled “Fuzuli” by emigrant literary researcher Salim Rafig Rafioglu. In general if in the 16th-17th centuries poets expressed their admiration for their predecessors in the forms of nazire, tahmis and etc., this tradition gradually began to change, and in the 19th-20th centuries, special attention was paid to poems dedicated to Fuzuli.

The article points out that in the period of 19th century up to the time of writing his dissertation (1942-1945), Salim Rafig presented to the scientific world the poems he collected, dedicated to Fuzuli. It is noted that in these examples of works the poets tried in various forms to create the image of Fuzuli with the originality in each of them.
