Exposing the policy of genocide in Mohammed Altunbai’s works

Abstract

The issues of Armenian genocide against Azerbaijanis, unspeakable atrocities committed by Armenians in Azerbaijani territories throughout history, and the exposure of treacherous traits, ingratitude, betrayal, villainy by Armenians occupy an important place in the work by Mohammed Altunbai, a prominent personality in Azerbaijani emigrant literature. The main idea of his work “The Turk flying to freedom. Memoirs” has been dedicated to the coverage of this problem on the basis of objective and concrete historical facts.

The study analyses the numerous scenes of the cruelty of the genocide against Azerbaijanis, depressing episodes detailed in these memoirs, and reveals the essence of the genocide policy of our insidious neighbors. It is highlighted that the work is of exceptional importance and is still relevant today in terms of more thoroughly presenting the truth about the crimes commited by Armenian-Bolshevik army against our people to the country and the international community.
