Scientific researches and social activities of scientists of Institute of Literature in the “Year of Nizami Ganjavi”

Abstract

By the order of President Ilham Aliyev (January 5, 2021) in connection with the 880th anniversary of Nizami Ganjavi, 2021 was declared the “Year of Nizami”. Vice-president of ANAS, director of the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi, academician Isa Habibbeyli assessed this order in literary criticism as “a call to return to the heritage and ideals of Nizami Ganjavi”. This order opened a wide field for returning to the measures taken in 1979 on the basis of the order of the national leader Heydar Aliyev to research, translate and publish the rich heritage of the great Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi. Academician I.Habibbeyli noted that there are important tasks ahead – translation of the works of the great poet into the languages ​​of the world, preparation and publication of the academic edition of “Khamsa”, research work on it, writing and publishing promotional books in foreign languages.

A new generation of scholars-philologists, orientalists (corresponding member of ANAS Nushaba Arasli, Doctor of Philology Imamverdi Hamidov, Doctor of Philology Vafa Hajiyeva, Sirajeddin Haji, Zahra Allahverdiyeva, Tahmina Badalova, Elena Teer, etc.) who took over the baton in 2021, almost since honorably carrying out this responsibility, they managed to socialize it in the context of integration into world science.
