Heydar Aliyev’s love for Vagif

Abstract

The article deals with the great leader Heydar Aliyev’s attention on Molla Panah Vagif, a prominent representative of Azerbaijani literature, poet and statesman. The construction of Vagif museum-mausoleum complex, which is visible from all sides of Shusha, was implemented under the leadership of the great leader Heydar Aliyev and under his control. The mausoleum attracted attention with its grandeur, poetics, even romanticism and lyricism. The fact that the great leader built this mausoleum in Shusha meant, first of all, that it was erected a monument to the historical existence of Azerbaijani statehood in Karabakh.
