“Molla Nasraddin” and Mollanasraddinists in Heydar Aliyev’s scientific considerations

Abstract

In the article is dealt with the high value of National Leader Heydar Aliyev to classical Azerbaijani literarture and national press. Great Leader always paid special attention to publishing the works, celebrating anniversaries, establishing museums and examining the works scientifically of Azerbaijani prominent representatives such as Nizami, Nasimi, Fuzuli, Vagif, M.F.Akhundzade, J.Mammadguluzade, U.Hajibeyli, S.Mumtaz and others during his time in power.

Jalil Mammadguluzade, prominent representative in Azerbaijani realistic literature of 20th century was one of the writers esteemed very highly by Great Leader. Heydar Aliyev put forward separate moments of Mirza Jalal’s heritage in his deep content speeches on the anniversaries of the writer and characterized writer’s monumental works “My Mother’s Book”, “The Deads” as a work that plays an important role in the life and destiny of the Azerbaijani people. He esteemed very highly the historical significance of the struggle of “Molla Nasraddin” magazine published under editorship of Jalil Mammadguluzade to solve the problems of science, education, native language, and women's freedom. In addition, he kept in the center of attraction the great services in the development of our literature and press by prominent representatives of literary front of “Molla Nasraddin” such as A.Sabir, U.Hajibeyli, S.Mumtaz, including Jalil Mamamdguluzade and other mollanasraddinists.
