One of the greatest personalities of twentieth-century Azerbaijani literature is M.A.Sabir. His rich creativity has been the subject of research in various aspects for more than a hundred years. In general, the specifics of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries are more focused on the presentation of ethnic identity in all parameters, the symbolism of the signification coming from folklore, and the environment of creative searches, the possibilities of understanding problems and presenting them. The national ideology, exaltation of ethnic values, and the entire spectrum of values and codes of conduct, manifested in the rich creativity of artists such as S.A.Shirvani, H.Zardabi, J.Mammadguluzadeh, A.Nazmi, N.Narimanov, A.Gamkusar, M.A.Mojuz, S.S.Akhundov, U.Hajibeyov, S.M.Ganizadeh, R. Efendiyev, Y.V.Chamanzaminli, A.Shaig, H.Javid, A.Sahhat, F. Kocharli, etc., were loaded with the inculcation of archaic ideas of society as an ethnopotentiality. Here, the work of creating children's literature, the functional nature of the press, and the relevance of the problem were always rooted in the expression of what was happening at the level of society, the work of enlightenment, and the education of personality. The examples of children's literature that appear on the pages of press organizations such as “Debistan”, “Rehber”, “Mekteb”, etc. are rooted in all aspects of the formation of the younger generation and the upbringing of national and moral values. M.A.Sabir's poems from the series “Gift for Children” are an important example of this necessary work.
