The monumental art memorial “Chingizname” in the creativity of Azer Buzovnali

Abstract

The autograph manuscript copy of “Chingizname” written by the master of words Azer Buzovnali, who wrote and created in the late 19th century and early 20th century, from the series of historical works, is kept in the treasury of the Institute of Manuscripts named after Muhammad Fuzuli of ANAS. The master poet wrote the historical-heroic epic “Chingizname” in 1935 in the wise years of his life. Years before the “Chingizname” epic, the poet wrote the religious-historical work “Gazavatname” in 1908, and in 1925, the work “Oguzname” of great scientific and historical importance, which was created on the basis of our ancestry, national past, and the foundation of the culture of Deda-Gorgud and Ozan-Ashig, with a broad plot. The poet's love for Turkishness, national-spiritual values, and our historical past is reflected in his historicalheroic epics.  In the article we have presented, the uniqueness of the work “Chingizname” as an example of artistic art in Azerbaijani literature has been refined, in the context of such historical works, the attitude of the author towards our national past, national moral values and mainly the society in which he lives has been investigated, and the role played by the historical theme in the poet's work has been determined.
