The dialectical relationship between memory and alienation in Kamal Abdulla’s novels reflects the complex processes of human attachment to the past and estrangement from one’s identity. In works such as “Incomplete Manuscript”, “The Valley of Sorcerers”, “No One to Forget”, and others, the author emphasizes the dynamic nature of memory and its collective and individual dimensions. Memory serves as a means to understand and reconstruct the past but also becomes one of the causes of alienation. These works illustrate how individuals strive to reconnect with their past to recover lost meanings, yet also struggle with reality along the way. The author explores memory and alienation on both individual and national levels, creating profound philosophical and artistic depth.
