    Abstract

This article explores the poetry of Fikret Goja. The poet’s innovative verses are extremely concise and laconic, yet rich in content and laden with profound ideas. A significant number of his poems are devoted to nature and love. Poetic portrayals of the native landscape occupy a central place in his oeuvre. Since he most often writes about love, Fikret Goja is recognized as a lyrical poet, and many of his poems have been set to music. The article also provides a detailed analysis of the poet’s longer poems. The protagonists of these works include renowned poets, statesmen, politicians, martyrs, and ordinary people. The poem dedicated to Azerbaijan’s statesman Heydar Aliyev—its sincerity and realism make it stand out. Equally significant in Goja’s body of work are the poems dedicated to People’s Poet Rasul Rza, Turkish poet Nazım Hikmet, Filipino statesman and young poet José Rizal, and the journalist-martyr and National Hero of Azerbaijan Chingiz Mustafayev. Fikret Goja has played a pivotal role in the formation and development of postwar literature. His works dedicated to the First and Second Karabakh Wars testify to this.
