Azerbaijani poetry and the Fizuli literary school in the early 20th century

Abstract

The article discusses poems written in the classical style in Azerbaijani literature at the beginning of the 20th century. It is noted that the works written in classical genres during this period were mostly written under the influence of Mahammad Fuzuli's poems. In order to explain the problem clearly, the article classifies the poems of the poets who were influenced by Fuzuli's works according to their content. The influence of Fuzuli's poetry on 20th century poetry is explained through the works of various poets. A comparative analysis of the works of H.Javid, A.Yusif, S.Mansur, A.Vahid and other poets with Fuzuli's poetry gives reason to say that the Fuzuli literary school continued its activities until the beginning of the 20th century. M.Fuzuli's poetry had a great influence on the formation of poetic qualities and ideological essence of modern Azerbaijani poetry.
