    Abstract

The exposure of the colonial Soviet regime and the glorification of national independence were the leading motives at all stages of our emigrant literature; the struggle, called the “struggle for Azerbaijan,” was continuously waged both by various means and by the power of artistic words. A. Ildirim, as a result of a conscious choice, also joined this righteous struggle, became one of the leaders of the literary front of the “struggle for Azerbaijan”, enriched our emigrant poetry with unique works.
The article examines specific artistic examples related to the topic, including the first analysis of such poems as “Moscow”, “That does it”, “Once”, “Rejoice, heart, rejoice”, “Turkic poet says that”, “It is mine from all eternity”, “For that poor homeland”, and they were assessed. In the works of A.Ildirim, the main targets of exposure are the Bolshevik regime, its policy of colonialism and genocide, the anti-human nature of the Soviet-Stalinist dictatorship, the hypocrisy of communist propaganda, and national independence is the main object of glorification. The poetic examples studied once again confirm the historical reality that the bloody Bolshevik dictatorship could not force the Azerbaijani Turks to forget their national identity, break their will and determination in the struggle for independence.
