Abstract

Along with Abdurrahim bey Hagverdiyev's artistic creations, publicist writings are also important for the art of speech in Azerbaijan. Adib expressed his attitude to the problems of the society from the standpoint of an intellectual. The problematic of Abdurrahim bey Hagverdiyev's publicism attracts attention as it covers socio-political and social processes, literature and art issues that took place in the Azerbaijani community at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century.
Abdurrahim bey Hagverdiyev devoted extensive space to the works of Mirza Fatali Ahundzade in his journalistic writings. In his journalistic work, A.Hagverdiyev reveals his excellent knowledge not only of Azerbaijani literature but also of world literature.
The gallery of images in A. Hagverdiyev 's publicist writings is distinguished by its richness. The images of the writer, who expresses the events he describes through images, are able to reflect themselves in a limited and broad sense.
