Nizami Ganjavi's “Khamsa” tradition in world oriental studies

Abstract

In the article, the issues of the research of the traditions of the Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi, who left a deep mark on the history of the culture and literature of the Eastern peoples and played an important role in the emergence of hundreds of works on "Khamsa" after him, in the world science of oriental studies are involved in the research. The main research object of the work is the researches conducted on the problem in Europe and Russia starting from the 19th century. For this purpose, the researches of Y.Hammer, E.Brown, E.Gibb, Ch.Riye, A.Krymski, Y.Krachkovski, Y.Bertels and others are reviewed.
The article also includes in the 20th century H.Arasli, Y.E.Bertels, V.M.Jirmunski, F.Koprulu, A.Sirri Lavand, M.Mubariz, G.Aliyev, R.Aliyev, R.Azade, N.Arasli, I.Hamidov, Kh.Yusifli, T.Karimli, M.Kazimov, A.B.Kudelin, A.V.Mikhaylov, M.Y.Borev and other scientists draw attention to the determination of theoretical aspects of the problem, conducting sufficient research in various directions based on the historical-comparative method.
