A word on the great Azerbaijani poet Mahammad Fuzuli

Abstract

It is difficult to find a second master in Azerbaijan who has been studied as much as Mahammad Fuzuli. Azerbaijani Fuzuli Studies is accompanied by valuable researches and contains valuable works. During the last century Fuzuli Studies in Azerbaijan was elevated to the level of a special scientific direction, the dissertations were written on this topic and numerous monographs were published. Great classical master of Azerbaijani literature Mahammad Fuzuli became famous as one of the most important creators of romantic lyrics in the Turkish-Muslim world. His name is generally mentioned together with the most powerful masters of Eastern and world literature in general. Mahammad Fuzuli (1494-1556) further developed lyric poetry that has a special place in Eastern literature, and moved it to a new stage.
