Poetry as a source of national ideology

Abstract

In the article is dealt with the homeland issue in poetry and it is mentioned as a source of our national ideology. Since the beginning of 20th century an immanent path of development of the content has been observed and it is noted how the content has changed at different times. In the article is looking for an answer to a question what stages free poetry went through during the Soviet period at the beginning of the 20th century. Also in the years of independence the issues such as how to address the homeland content is explored.
