STRUCTURAL PECULIRATIES OF THERAPEUTIC NAPHTHALANE OIL AND PERSPECTIVE METHODS FOR ITS PURIFICATION

Abstract

As it’s known, Naphthalane oil is differed in its unique properties according to its hydrocarbon
composition. It is characterized by maximum naphthenic hydrocarbon composition – up to 40 %
mas., high bi-, tri- and pentacyclic naphthenes composition and low isoparaffinic hydrocarbon
composition. It’s also known that these oils contain aromatic hydrocarbons, which have significant
influence on physico-chemical parameters, reducing its therapeutic properties. As a result of the
investigations, it has been found that extractive dearomatization of high-boiling fractions of naphthalane oil is the most appropriate purification method.
