COLLECTION AND PUBLICATION OF EPIC GENRES IN THE SOUTHERN AZERBAIJANIAN FOLKLORE

Abstract

The issue of collection and publication of folklore specimens, passing from mouth to mouth,
copied out from one book onto the other one and which have reached our present day, is still actual
at present. Generally, speaking of the works, carried out in the collection and publication of folklore
of Southern Azerbaijan, the names of Dr. Javad Heyat, Farzana, Ali Asgar Mujtahidi, Ali Zafarkhan,
Mahammad Rza Ismayilzadeh, Alirza Sarrafi, Zohra Vafai, Fatma Mustafapur, Huseyn Mammad
Khani (Guneyli), Abdulali Mujazi, Kazim Abbasi, Ahad Farahmandi, Ali Barazandeh, Mahammad
Alipur Mugaddam and others must be specially mentioned.
