Abstract

The article is aimed at studying traditional and modern factors influencing the formation of political culture. First of all, cultural and political factors influencing the formation of political culture were analyzed, and information was given about their forms of objective and purposeful impact on political culture. Then the processes of political socialization and political communication are studied, which cover both cultural and political factors and play a key role in the formation of political culture, as well as the role in this process of primary social organizations, parties and the media, which are the main agents of political socialization, is described in detail. Since political culture is based on traditional and political knowledge and beliefs, the effects of the mentioned means of political communication especially have been studied in this direction. In research paper, a number of key provisions of theories of social psychology and the influence of the media were considered. Based on the method of scientific analysis, it was determined that the media, the main organization of political communication, play a very important role in the formation of political culture in our time, since they have the power and ability to manipulate the belief systems and values of both individuals and society.
