ARMENIZATION OF KARABAKH TOPONYMS AND TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE LAWS OF THE AZERBAIJANI LANGUAGE IN THEIR RESTORATION

Abstract

At the beginning of the paper, the author expressed his attitude to the policy of armenization of toponyms of Azerbaijani (Turkic) origin that exist on the territory of Karabakh.
On the other hand, in this paper the author emphasized that the laws of the Azerbaijani language were taken into account in restoring of oikonyms, gave information about some of the toponyms that preserved ancient Turkic elements (Sirik (Jabrail), Ziyrik (Lachin), Ashagy Guzlak (Fizuli), Asrik (Kelbajar), Kuyudara Hashtab, Saralli Hashtab (Zangilan), and brought to attention the importance of attracting them to repeated research.
