ECOTOURISM POTENTIAL OF KURMUKCHAY BASIN

Abstract

The tourism industry is one of the largest and most diverse in the world. Many countries around the world face this dynamic sector, which plays a major role in the development of local employment, infrastructure and the private sector as a major source of income. In terms of geographical location, climate change and the complexity of natural sights, Azerbaijan is a unique country with great tourism potential in the field of ecotourism. Unfortunately, little attention is still paid to this category of tourism. Roads and other natural, historical and cultural attractions near the river, as well as the development of river ecotourism will be discussed in this study. The projects proposed for sustainable use of this river in order to provide employment, sustainable development of ecotourism, protection of the natural environment, cultural propaganda, create positive experiences between host and guest community, create entertainment and excitement among families, the development of sports tourism.
