NEW AREAL, BIOECOLOGICAL-PHYTOSENOLOGICAL FEATURES AND ETHNOBIOLOGY OF THE EREMURUS SPECTABILIS BIEB. SPECIES IN THE FLORA OF AZERBAIJAN

Abstract

Phytocenological, ethnobiological, and using one of the rare species of Azerbaijani flora-Eremurus spectabilis Bieb. species (Asphodelaceae Juss.) have been shown in the paper. For the first time, a new habitat for the species was discovered in 3 places in the Lesser Caucasus (from the Caucasus to the Asrik mountains of Tovuz district in 2018, to the Seyfali mountains of Shamkir and Goychay districtsin 2021). Six cenopopulations with the prevalence of the species were assessed as young, transitional, and fully mature, and their age, efficacy, and viability indices were determined. Ethnobotanically researched data on the use of the plant for food and technical purposes were collected. The productivity and plant reserves of some populations with Eremurus spestabilis species have been studied.
