        Abstract

Some derivatives of 2-hydroxybenzylamines have been synthesized and their influence on the thermal-oxidative stability of synthetic lubricating oil has been studied. The structures of the obtained compounds were confirmed by IR spectroscopy and elemental analysis. It has been determined that the synthesized compounds - additives at 225°C have a positive effect on the performance properties of synthetic lubricating oil and are superior in efficiency to the well known inhibitor phenyl - α – naphthylamine.
